Oh, do you think so?

So there I was, first thing in the morning with a bounce in my step and a general happiness in my heart as I came downstairs, threw open the blinds, put the kettle on and ripped the new calendar sheet off its pad. It's part of my morning daily routine and I have to say I absolutely love my inspirational calendar, which was originally introduced to me as a Secret Santa present by the lovely Kevin in my old work (I know it's supposed to be a secret but I just knew it was him) and as I thought it was a brilliant gift, I stole the idea and have been using it for present giving ever since. I honestly cannot tell you the number of times this little calendar has made me smile, laugh or had a spookily accurate/thought-provoking message for me. Anyways, back to the point, Lizzy!

So I ripped off the sheet and my message was all about stocking up for winter and with a smugness scale of 10, I replied back (thankfully there was no-one else in the kitchen to hear me at the time) to the message with a "not for us sucker" and scored out the message accordingly.

Fast forward to the next morning, and doing my usual reading before I even step out of bed and what do I read in the news??? Yes, only that there is a yellow warning for snow and ice starting in various areas of the UK that may result in some travel disruptions and delays! Ok lesson learnt Master Calendar - I promise not to be so cocky in future. Now please, if you can try and see that we get away ok without any disruption, we will be ever so grateful.... pretty please???

Stock up for winter: blankets, books, cocoa, cookies.
